I and my brother started Pitt & York after realizing how often, just like us, students get ripped off by consultants who sell you foreign universities at education fairs, and then call and mail you for ForEx cards, education loans, parceling services and so on to earn extra commissions. How they promise customization for your work and then make you write your own essay only to hand off your “editing” to arts and commerce content writers who do not understand engineering and have never experienced an educational experience abroad themselves. How they first promise to work for you and then make you do all the work yourself. This leads to poor quality applications, destroyed dreams and wasted money.
I and my brother have our own jobs, so you know you won’t be treated like business as usual. We work individually with each student to make sure that we work for our pay. WE do the work - I repeat, WE do the work. Our backgrounds mean that you have an all-star team and we’re batting for you. Visit our site www.pittandyork.com or contact us on +91-9819767506/ +91-9833323826 to know how our services will serve you best.
Studying abroad is a big & expensive decision . . .
. . . see where and why students often go wrong
TRUTH BOMB: They are better than adding “I love video games and hiking” on your resume, but they will be gone from your resume one year after college. They are fun, but do not add long term value to your profile and are not overly helpful in profile building.
TRUTH BOMB: No. Student bodies are good for initial learning, but are considered insufficient by Admissions Committees because you never leave your comfort zone and have no real street credentials. Community service means something if it comes from a tax exempt Non-Profit outside the academic ecosystem (so the school knows the Non-Profit has been registered for 10+ years) and political service counts only if it is at a registered political party, not a student body.
TRUTH BOMB: Big consulting firms will charge you half a kidney, ask you to write a draft yourself first to make you “independent” or give your essay to a non-technical content writer with a commerce or arts background. Great job on your Statement of Purpose and Letters of Recommendation, mate !!
TRUTH BOMB: Consulting firms are not happy charging you half your kidney - they need it whole. Every admit they secure for you in foreign schools at such events earns them commissions in US Dollars worth 5 times what you pay as consulting fee and that amps up to your tuition fee itself. So, they roll the red carpet. If you have to get an admit from a shady fair, don’t go abroad now. Work for a few years, improve your profile and apply the regular way. This way, you WILL get a much better school.
TRUTH BOMB: Summer internships, tech trainings, community service, political service, related certifications, tons of extra & co-curriculars, projects and published papers will get you better schools. It is tough and that is why they hold value. The higher your grades, the better, but an 8.0 pointer with lots of extra and co-curriculars is a safer bet for any school than a 10.0 pointer student with no other activities.
TRUTH BOMB: Contact consultants before you do something reckless and get blacklisted.
